WINDOWS
(premiered April 1, 2020)
During this time when we are forced to stay mostly indoors, Infinite Resort has founded WINDOWS, a digital nature therapy series. Containing 12 episodes, we will be sharing curated videos that immerse you in an audiovisual journey through the beauty of our planet. Following the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, our aim is to provide a breath of virtual fresh air and a dose of positivity. Disconnect from media and connect with nature for a couple minutes each day.
Ecotherapy, or nature therapy, is the field of research that studies and highlights the positive beenfits of connecting with nature. Studies show the positive effects of connecting with nature decreases stress, anxiety and calms the mind. One study showed that a walk through a green space reduced depression in patients by 71%.
Furthermore — and most importantly for our current situation — ecotherapy studies show that beneficial effects of nature result not only from immersing yourself in nature, but also from what you experience through other senses. For example, a study on prisoners found that viewing daily nature videos lowered aggression and stress by 26%.
Lastly, studies on patients who simply had a window with a view reported improved mood, mental health and life satisfaction. The studies are endless, in a world where our brains are currently working overtime while having to stay mostly indoors, nature therapy seems to get us out of our heads with positive measurable brain benefits. It’s through this research that Infinite Resort founded the series, Windows, an outlet for you to disconnect from the constant stream of news, and instead connect with Mother Nature. We urge you to put everything away, and just for a couple minutes, focus on the sights and sounds we’re providing for you through our virtual window. Relax, breathe, and remember, nature is infinite, just like you.

Today’s window focuses on flowing, or breathing, treetops. Today we simply marvel at the movement of trees, aligning our breath with theirs. Treetops hold an incredible amount of life and safety for animals, and interestingly enough, resemble veins as they move and sway with the wind.

Today’s window, element of air, focuses on butterflies. Butterflies — light and airy, each one more beautiful than the last — symbolize powerful transformation. As insects, they transcend life and go through a complete metamorphosis.

Today’s window is the element of Fire where we focus on volcanoes and lava. Although at first glance we might consider volcanoes to be simply violent, there is so much more! Volcanoes have many positive effects for our planet: they provide nutrient rich soil for plants, new land for growth, build tropical islands, and even cool off the Earth.

Window 1: Earth
The first video of our Windows series revolves around GROWTH. Mother Nature, like us, is constantly growing both physically and metaphorically. As a seed turns into a flower or tree, its roots are able to spread nutrients, much like wisdom and knowledge in humans. No matter what the surface looks like or what elements are thrown at it, the most important thing is to have a strong foundation of roots to stay firmly planted through life's natural ups and downs.
As a plant matures, it pollinates and therefore continues the cycle of growth, adapting to its season and constantly cycling between bloom to dormancy. The sound consists of actual forest recordings laid over Mort Garson’s Plantasia album — a 1976 album composed specifically for plants to listen to, with frequencies made for their growth and enjoyment.

Infinite quote of the day:
It is through gratitude for the present moment that the spiritual dimension of life opens up.
-Eckhart Tolle
Window 2: Air
The second window of our nature therapy series revolves around air and its natural movement or flow. Thoughts, like clouds, are transient — they come and go — some are dark, some are light and fluffy. In times like this, it’s easy to let our thoughts consume us, but rather than try and control them, let them surface and let them pass. Understanding that thoughts are fleeting and can take many forms, weakens their grip on us. Like clouds, when thoughts pass, we can soon see the blue sky again.

Infinite Quote of the Day:
This too shall pass
Window 3: Fire
The third window of our nature therapy series revolves around the element of fire, and focuses on our personal star: the Sun. Without the sun, there would be no life on Earth — it represents and selflessly provides pure light and pure energy — both of which everything on Earth needs to survive, whether directly or indirectly.
Sunsets symbolize the commencement of a new cycle of life. Everyday, a ball of fire in our field of vision sets over the horizon. Glowing, illuminating the sky in its glow, creating an array of colors and ever so gently disappearing over the horizon. A mesmerizing reminder of the mystery of life, the grandness of life, the beauty of our planet, the existence of everything will have and ever will know — is because of her perfect position to us in this solar system, galaxy, universe.
No matter what the sunset means to you, there is a grace in how it manifests for each soul. Today the sun will set, and tomorrow she will rise. An opportunity to reflect on the day’s doings, and an opportunity to re-set (or not) for a new day tomorrow.
Music: Time after Time by Hiroshi Yoshimura
Infinite Quote of the Day:
If one is lucky, a solitary fantasy can totally transform one million realities.
